Sports betting has been legal in Indiana for a few months now, and the industry is growing at a rapid pace. But what’s to come in 2020 and beyond?

BetIndiana founder Frank Ignatius and 93.5 / 107.5 THE FAN radio host Jason Hammer discussed that, LSU-Clemson and Victor Oladipo’s return to the Pacers on the latest episode of the BetIndiana Show.

Ignatius attended a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday morning for the new Majestic Star Casino in Gary, Indiana, and what he describes sounds incredible.

“Based on the renderings and the blueprints and everything I saw, it is going to be an unbelievable facility,” Ignatius said. “This place looks like it’s going to be a palace, a destination. I’m talking about the kind of place you can check into on a Friday, stay until Sunday and have all of the restaurants, pools, clubs, tables, sportsbooks (you’d need) in a complete entertainment facility.”

Ignatius said Gary mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson and several legislators attended the ceremony.

BetIndiana has a partnership in place to launch a mobile sportsbook with Majestic Star Casino, and exciting times lie ahead in the Hoosier State.

Frank and The Hammer then pivoted the conversation to the College Football Playoff National Championship, where LSU (-5.5) will battle Clemson on Monday night. The guys were surprised that the public is on the favorite to such an extent.

“It’s actually a pretty shocking difference in the action,” Ignatius told Hammer. “We follow Westgate out in Las Vegas, and they’re getting 10 LSU tickets for every one Clemson ticket.”

The guys are expecting late sharp action on Clemson and discuss why they think the public is so heavy on LSU. Listen here:
