The last time we saw Rory McIlroy, he took home the TOUR Championship and FedEx Cup title on the PGA Tour. Now he’s the betting favorite at this week’s BMW PGA Championship, a European Tour event.

McIlroy is 11/2 at Westgate SuperBook to take home his second BMW PGA Championship, formerly known as the British PGA Championship. He also won the tournament in 2014, which has been held at Wentworth Club since 1984. He finished second a year ago to defending champion Francesco Molinari, who is tied for 7th on the oddsboard at 25/1.

The betting favorite McIlroy enters having not played in the three weeks since the TOUR Championship, but he ended the PGA Tour season in solid form. After missing the cut at the Open Championship, McIlroy posted finishes of 4th, 6th, 19th and 1st.

One of the most consistent players on tour, world No. 6 Jon Rahm is second on the oddsboard at 10/1. He won just once in 2019 but had 12 top-10 finishes. Rahm did not play in this event in 2018.

Paul Casey and world No. 4 Justin Rose are each 14/1. A win for Casey would be his second in this tournament, while Rose is looking to breakthrough having finished runner-up here twice. His most recent second-place finish was in 2012, the second of back-to-back wins for Luke Donald (200/1 this week).

Tommy Fleetwood is winless on the PGA Tour but does have five international professional wins. He’s looking to improve on his T20 finish last year and is 20/1 to win it all along with Henrik Stenson.

One other notable in the field with success in this tournament is Alex Noren (40/1), who finished third and first in the past two years, respecitively.
