With March Madness just around the corner, a glance at conference tournament futures odds provides a glimpse at which programs oddsmakers expect to have the best chance to make noise at the Big Dance.

In a season of unparalleled college basketball parity, there are no true stand-out teams at the top of NCAA Tournament oddsboards. Conference championship title futures reveal a similar story, as no program sits as a prohibitive odds-on favorite besides No. 2 Gonzaga.

The Zags (25-1 straight up, 14-11-1 against the spread) are a whopping -770 favorite to win the West Coast Conference tournament crown at DraftKings, where bettors have to lay -400 on the Bulldogs to secure a No. 1 seed in the Big Dance. If a program other than Gonzaga wins the WCC tourney in March, then another team’s bubble will burst.

Another program out west did not appear to get the parity memo this year.

The nation’s lone unbeaten team, San Diego State (25-0 SU, 16-8 ATS) is a -225 favorite to win the Mountain West conference tournament. The Aztecs can also likely secure a No. 1 seed in the Big Dance by winning out this season.

Michigan State is tied with conference-leading No. 9 Maryland as the shortest shot to take home the Big Ten tournament crown. The event, scheduled for March 11-15 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, features seven teams in the 10/1 and under range to emerge victorious at the end of the tournament.

Despite its third-place spot 1.5 games behind the first-place Terrapins in the regular-season conference standings, Sparty is 4/1 to win the Big Ten tournament crown. Some prognosticators believe that up to 12 teams from the conference can make the Big Dance this year, especially considering the strong non-conference resumes of Ohio State and Michigan, both well below the middle of the standings.

While we recommend a moneyline rollover approach instead of futures bets come tournament time to maximize returns, it is prudent to study the futures board in order to gauge where the betting market stands entering the stretch run of regular-season games.

Here are tournament futures odds for the 10 top conferences in college basketball.
