Nominations for the 2020 Oscars were released Monday, and while wagering on the awards is legal in New Jersey, our first look at the betting odds comes from the offshore market.

Johnny Avello, director of race and sports operations at DraftKings sportsbook, said in a text message to BetIndiana News that he’s waiting for approval to take bets on the Oscars again this again year. During his long bookmaking career in Las Vegas, Avello posted mock Oscars odds annually and ran Oscars-themed events, but upon his move to New Jersey, last year was the first time he was allowed to accept real-money bets on the Academy Awards. Betting on the Oscars is not permitted in Nevada.

We’ll publish Oscars odds from regulated U.S. books as we see them, but for now, here are the prices listed at offshore outfit BetOnline.
