Ahead of their respective NFC and AFC conference championship matchups on Sunday, the Chiefs (+140) and 49ers (+150) are each trading at under 2/1 odds to win Super Bowl 54 in updated futures prices at the Westgate.

Both teams are heavily favored at home, San Francisco laying a touchdown to the Packers for the George Halas Trophy, while Kansas City is gifting 7.5 points to the Titans for the Lamar Hunt silverware.

This Sunday’s betting lines mark just the third time since 2002 both conference championships see a point spread longer than 6 points, which helps explains the huge gap in updated Lombardi Trophy pricing.

Green Bay is third choice to win Super Bowl 54 at +700 odds, while Tennessee is +800.

The Titans’ odds are dramatically shortened following their shock 28-12 divisional-round victory as 10-point underdogs over the Ravens. Following the end of the regular season, oddsmakers dangled +5000 (50/1 odds) for the AFC South representative to claim the NFL crown, nearly as long as the +6000 for which they were first offered last January. Tennessee was tasked not only with winning a wild-card matchup against the reigning NFL champion Patriots, but also beating then-Super Bowl favorite Baltimore at M&T Bank Stadium.

The Titans’ divisional-round victory was the first time since 2010 a double-digit underdog won an NFL playoff game outright.

Green Bay was installed at +1200 in fresh odds before the playoffs, slightly down from +1600 offered last January. The Packers current price, as well as the point spread for the NFC Championship Game, might be shorter had the team showed up in a Week 12 regular-season clash at Levi’s Stadium. San Francisco romped 37-8 as 3.5-point chalk in victory. Aaron Rodgers was limited to 104 yards and a single touchdown on 20-of-33 passing, while 49ers tight end George Kittle exploded for 129 receiving yards and a score on six receptions.

The NFC West winners were +350 to win Super Bowl 54 prior to their first-round playoff bye.

Kansas City is the remaining team of the four the betting market believed would be playing for the 2020 NFL title from the get-go. Armed with reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes, the franchise was offered at +700 odds last January following a 37-31 overtime defeat to Patriots in the AFC Championship Game.
